The Manawatu Craft and Food Fair showcases the great talent of our local people through craft and food!
With over 85 stall sites this is an event not to be missed!

We will have two raffles to give away at the end of the day again. All proceeds from our raffles will be going to a local organisation.
Raffle tickets are $2.00 each!

Pack The Bus Launch

About the event

The bus is decorated, the fuel tank is full, and Pack the Bus is ready to roll!
Come on down to LOCAL Cafe on Monday the 1st of December between 9.30 - 10.30am; drop off a non-perishable food item or a new gift/toy (unwrapped) to help us Pack the Bus, and the jolly team at LOCAL Cafe will shout you a FREE, regular hot beverage for being a good sort.
All items will be donated to local charities, Barnardos, and Palmerston North Methodist Social Services (Koha Kai Whare), just in time for the holidays.

Join us in Te Marae o Hine – The Square for an evening of live music, food trucks, and plenty of Christmas cheer as we switch on the city’s Christmas tree. Keep an eye out for the naughty elves causing mischief and spreading Christmas joy, and enjoy a sprinkle of Christmas magic as the tree comes to life.
Entry is free so bring the whānau, grab a bite to eat, and celebrate the start of the holiday season together.

About the event

Christmas in Palmy is going big this year. We're combining the magic of the parade and the Christmas concert into one extra special day. Bring the whānau, grab some kai, and celebrate Christmas together in the heart of Palmy.

Christmas Parade, 2pm to 3pm
Santa's coming to town! The Christmas Parade kicks off at 2pm from Railway Land and winds its way through Church Street, around The Square, down Main Street South and back to Railway Land.

Expect colourful floats, festive music, and plenty of Christmas cheer for the whole whānau.

We're looking for 60 floats. And there's a decorated bike category for the kids, too.

Otherwise, grab a spot along the route and enjoy the fun.

The parade is proudly brought to you by Palmerston North City Council and managed by the Lions Club of Kairanga.
A Very Palmy Christmas Concert, 3.30pm to 7.30pm
After the parade, stick around Te Marae o Hine for Palmy's biggest Christmas party. This year's concert brings a modern, rocking vibe, headlined by Lavina Williams.

Expect Christmas tunes with a twist, plus:

Kids' fun: bouncy castles and more
Christmas market stalls and food trucks
And of course... a special visit from Santa.

Multicultural Family Movie Night 
Thursday 19 March, 6-8.30pm 
Te Marae o Hine – The Square 

This year we’re starting celebrations a little differently! 

Join us for a Family Movie Night in The Square. There will be interactive activities for kids, and food trucks offering a wide range of kai (food).
